In-flight Movies
Seeing a movie on a tiny screen on a flight does not cure my cinema addiction. It's like experiencing a tourist attraction on the Internet or receiving an honorary Oscar. It's not the real thing. Who wants to be interrupted by the pilot telling you what the weather will be like 9 hours from landing? Who wants to be reminded that Duty Free sales will stop in 30 minutes? Who wants that person next to you constantly elbowing you because they won't share the arm rest? When I see a movie on the small screen, I choose a movie that I might have missed at the cinema or an arthouse film that doesn't require a big screen to showcase the special effects. If it's something that is currently screening at the cinemas and deserves to be seen on the big screen then I won't go near it. Movies are meant to be seen on a large screen, not on a screen more suited for a mouse.
