movie piracy

Why is illegal downloading of movies so popular in Australia? The answer is simple. When one has to wait weeks or even months for a movie to screen at the cinema, you are tempted to check it out. With download speeds so fast these days, there's no stopping you from acquiring a growing collection of latest release movies.

When a movie that you have been desperate to see is finally released, you might discover that it's only playing at several locations in your state, which makes it difficult to see at the cinema. If you are prepared to wait for its cinema release and travel to a location that's not even to your liking, you then have to shell out some astronomical prices for movie tickets.

A 2D release can cost up to $20 for one admission ticket. Factor in the price of food and drinks from the candy bar, plus the members of your family you wish to take along, and you will find that you will be splurging a decent amount for a couple of hours of entertainment.

If you have a state of the art home entertainment system, you can basically see the movie for free at your convenience.
