WHAT IF

What If (Comedy/Romance/Drama): 76 out of 100: This is an engaging rom/com with interesting characters and some clever lines of dialogue. Even the dramatic scenes highlight the struggles of lost and found love.

Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan play the two friends who might have their friendship destroyed if love gets in the way. There are shades of "When Harry Met Sally" here and just like that film, "What If" keeps its audience enthused with its entertaining narrative. You would be a hard hearted person to not feel any empathy or sympathy for the characters and the trials and tribulations they encounter.

There are some wonderful location shots of Toronto and Dublin. These two cities are key plot devices in showcasing the main relationships. If you haven't been to these cities before, you'll find yourself wanting to go there in the future.

It's great to see Daniel Radcliffe expand his repertoire and he's a fine romantic comedy actor. He shares some excellent scenes with Zoe Kazan and you can really believe in their relationship.

It's a shame that this film hasn't performed better at the box office because it's one of the better films of its genre. Even if you are not a romantic comedy fan, there should be enough interest in the storyline and clever dialogue to ensure that you will be entertained.
