dendy cinemas

Dendy Cinemas: The eleventh in my series of favourite websites is Dendy Cinemas. I use it when I wish to see an independent or foreign language film. More recently, this cinema chain has also included blockbuster films in its schedule, meaning that it provides a diverse range of films to cater for every taste.

The session times are updated regularly, sometimes even one week in advance. What I like about Dendy is that they don't have allocated seating. Sit where you like is the way it should be. I visit Newtown and Opera Quays and both these venues are quality cinemas as the seating is comfortable with ideal leg room and the sound system is adequate. The screen size depends on the auditorium you see the movie and some of them could do with larger screens.

On the website itself, you can find weekly competitions. I have entered some of those and won prizes. Most of the competitions involve a 25 words or less answer. I find that these types of competitions eliminate many entrants because they don't like to spend their time thinking of an answer. I will only enter these competitions when I am in the mood to think of a creative answer.

Even if you don't plan to see a movie at Dendy, I do recommend that you check out the website because you will be able to find out more about the foreign language and arthouse films that are released in Australia and you could keep those in mind if you wish to see them on DVD or TV at a later date.
