Oscar Round-Up
How did you go with your Oscar predictions? I scored 12 out of the 18 I made predictions for. I really thought that the Director and Picture Oscars would have been split between "Boyhood" and "Birdman". "The Imitation Game" ended up being the biggest loser with only one Oscar out of 8 nominations followed by "Foxcatcher" (0 out of 6) and "Boyhood" (1 out of 6). It was great to see "Whiplash scoring 3 Oscars but it should have also received the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar over the inferior screenplay for "The Imitation Game". I thought the highlight of the ceremony was Lady Gaga singing a medley of songs from "The Sound of Music". Having recorded the program, I was able to fast forward about one hour of ads and boring segments. For a full list of winners and nominees, check out this link:
