Have you ever wondered which movies have missed out on Oscar glory? As we all know, there are some classics that miss out on receiving Oscar nominations, let alone Oscar wins. Sometimes the Academy doesn't always reward excellence, instead being swayed by publicity campaigns and other factors. There are also many well-respected actors and directors who have missed out. Many of them usually receive an honorary Oscar as a way for the Academy to say sorry for not giving them a proper Oscar.
